Greetings from Las Vegas

2023-01

OK, so we haven’t started traveling with our Class C (hmmm, maybe we should give her a name), but we are traveling nonetheless! We have been visiting with friends this past week and doing a few touristy things.

My spinning began with three very interested pups checking out my EEW 6.0 e-spinner (although I only got pictures of two of them).

Freya almost got her nose clipped by the flyer!

Winston was intrigued by the fiber I was spinning!

After spending the first few days relaxing, visiting, having lunch with another friend in the area, and getting caught up, we went to the Sunset Station Casino to play bingo. Our friend won one game that she had to split with a couple of other winners.

Next we went to the Orleans to see Avatar, The Way of Water

We spent one day visiting Goodsprings Mining District and Ethel M Chocolate Factory, where I had a “Knitters’ Handshake” with one of the employees there.

“Lead me to the chocolate!!”

Another day was spent at Red Rock Canyon where it was 43°F. My fingers got so cold, I could hardly spin! My assistant (Hubby) and I need to work harder at remembering to take pictures of me spinning in all of these places!

Huddling together for warmth!!

Next, we went to the Suncoast Casino for a couple of afternoon sessions of bingo where I won one game (and play a couple of slot machines 😉 where I didn’t win but Hubby did … a little). We finally remembered to start taking spinning pictures!! LOL

On our last night, we went to an escape room at Escapology where we played the Scooby Doo scenario. Then back to Suncoast for a last session of bingo where I won one game (and play a slot machine 😉 where I won … a little) before heading home in the morning.

And now, we’re at the airport and it’s time to head home!

OK, I don’t know what happened to the original post, so here we go again!

Our new-to-us Class C was delivered on December 22nd! And (because he couldn’t wait any longer) we took it out for a ride today! It rides very smoothly and is very comfortable. We can definitely see ourselves traveling in style!

This indentation in the dash looks like the perfect place for the Nano e-spinner while we’re tootling along! there is also plenty of room to store spinning equipment, handouts for the classes that I teach, and fiber for both my students and me!

The next trip will to the store to stock the camper and then to an empty parking lot for me to practice driving the camper. Then a “Getting Acquainted” trip - destination to be determined.
